Obama: Israel is "a constant wound"
Seems like Obama has qualms expressing his opinion on Israel: JG: Do you think that Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas?
BO: No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy. The lack of a resolution to this problem provides an excuse for anti-American militant jihadists to engage in inexcusable actions, and so we have a national-security interest in solving this, and I also believe that Israel has a security interest in solving this because I believe that the status quo is unsustainable. That's disgusting. Maybe Jim Webb would make a great VP candidate for Obama after all...

But if that kind of willful mis-reading and parsing is the best you can do, you guys are really going to get creamed in November.
Whatever Obama meant, he certainly needs to be more careful with his word choices.
On that point, no Democrat has misrepresented McCain's "100 years in Iraq" remark. McCain's complaint is that Democrats have failed to provide the qualifications to the policy that McCain added, i.e., if americans are not getting killed. McCain clearly said, however, he would pursue a policy that would have us maintain a military presence in Iraq for the remainder of our lives.
It's fair to debate whether that is a wise policy or a foolish one, but if McCain thinks it wise, and he appears to do so, why deny it?
