FeedBurner

Here's your link, and as you can see to the left, there's a new spot to see how many people actually subscribe to the FeedBurner feed.

No idea how many people subscribe to the Atom feed provided by Blogger though. 15,000 hits and 4,000 unique users makes this a pretty popular spot though.

I, for one, subscribe to the atom feed. Why, because I need to know what and when Shaun Kenney posted ASAP.

You and your crazy techno-babble.

I have no idea what any of this means!!!

What is an atom-feed or a feedburner, and how do you use them?

Here's how I use the atom feed:

First I use Mozzila Thunderbird for my email, and there is an option for "News and Blogs". From there you add a subscription to a sites feed. For Shaun's you get it from his bottono on to top left of his homepage. Then you get a folder created where all of Shaun's post will show up in a folder, just like an email. So I get Shaun's post without having to get to Shaun's site. It makes it easier to read blogs with being on the internet.

Feedburn is the same thing (as far as email input is concerned). It also allows you to add blogs to myyahoo.com, mygoogle.com, etc. But I use everything in my email, so I don't have all of the details.

That is my limited understanding. If you follow Shuan's link in this post, then click "Learn about Syndication and Feedburner", maybe that will help you more than I have.
