Save The GOP: Santorum Back in the Saddle?
The folks over at Save the GOP are wondering how Casey blew a 20 point lead against Rick Santorum, and just to make matters worse the Green Party submitted 90,000 signatures to get on the ballot.
Pennsylvania just became a lot more interesting.

The democrats are going to win the senate, take back the house, and impeach the president -- 2006.
Ric's got some work still to do, but his problem has been his base, and I think the base is beginning to realise that some wounds are better left to heal (like Ric's supporting Arlen Specter).
Still, that Pennsylvania is warming up for the GOP is a good sign for Republicans elsewhere. Maybe the Dems steam is running out?
2. Casey is an unknown (as much as Webb is) but is known because of his name. His dad was governor from 1987 to 1995. Cut from the same cloth.
3. With Casey being pro-life (although I couldn't confirm this on his website) and now the Green party candidate will hurt him with the left
4. Momentum is going the right way for the GOP in this race
5. Webb could learn something from Santorum...but he's to busy out fundraisng.
Hooray for the GOP! They can't win on their own...so they enlist their ideological opposite hoping a Hail Mary will save them...good luck with that.
Hell, it ain't Republicans voting for the guy, and it isn't like the Dems haven't run third party candidates against Republicans, right?
Secondly, it sure as heck doesn't explain Casey's drop from 20 points, not to mention Democratic dissatisfaction concerning Casey's pro-life stance.
Motto of the Democratic Party: Ready, Fire, Aim!
Can you give me an example of Democrats solely funding a third party candidate to depress the numbers of a Republican candidate?
If you can offer an instance of Republicans solely funding a third party candidate...
I find him a repulsive human being and will be happy to see him leave Washington.
Yes...this instance.
I think its a bit rash to say that there is Democratic dissatisfaction with any candidate having a pro-life stance. Democrats learned a long time ago that we can welcome pro-life and pro-choice into the same party, especially when not doing so would help an out of touch politician like Santorum stay in office.
While Casey may be on the edge our the Democratic mainstream, time and time again Santorum has proved to be further and further away from the mainstream of America in philosophy.
